Problem-Solving. With a concentration in consumer goods
and marketing, Tom has been a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey and an
advertising Account Executive for Procter & Gamble, where he developed the
rigor and discipline to solve problems, analyze opportunities and deal with
complexity in a variety of settings.
Top Management Experience. Throughout the 1980s, Tom
served as Senior VP of Corporate Planning and Business Development at Marriott
Corporation, helping the company grow from $1 billion to $7 billion.
Process Facilitation. Over the last 11 years, Tom has
focused his professional practice and personal development on using leading
edge techniques to achieve the simultaneous resolution of business and
relationship/emotional issues. These include Appreciative Inquiry, Polarity
Management, Real Time Strategic Change, Strategic Assumption Testing, and other
processes to help top teams deal with increasing complexity and accelerating
change in markets, technology, and competition.
Self Awareness. Tom’s ongoing “inner work”
allows him to connect in a deeply personal way with the hopes
and concerns of the people he works with. Part of his
non-corporate work includes staffing experiential weekends for
men that reconnect them to their feelings, their integrity and
their mission in the world. He is also pursuing
independent study in transpersonal psychology and global shifts
in values and mind-sets.
